Myiah moved to Edmonton in 2012 from her hometown of Saskatoon, Saskatchewan. At an early age, rhythm, movement, and music became integral parts of her life. Beginning with Jazz, Tap, Musical Theatre, Hip Hop, and Ballet, Myiah learned the importance of learning the basics of dance while having fun and being creative. Her favorite dances are Tap and Hip Hop.
After having so many wonderful instructors and coaches who were encouraging and knowledgeable in their respective fields, she aspired to be just like them, and she did just that. Myiah completed her Bachelor of Arts in Psychology at MacEwan University and her Bachelor of Elementary Education from The University of Alberta. Myiah is currently an Elementary School Teacher, taking a year away from classroom life and working as a full-time tutor. When she is not coaching dance or tutoring, Myiah is coaching Little Kickers Soccer or playing with her trusty friend on four paws, Waylon.
Myiah joined the Elite Dance Studio team in September 2022. She is super ecstatic about teaching and happy to help dancers of all ages and skill levels fulfill their dance potential!
